Croydon BID is helping youngsters to finish the school holidays on a high note, after teaming up with the award-winning London Urban Arts Academy to give 11 – 18 years old the chance to test out their music production, DJing and street dance skills in a converted, single decker bus.
Part of Croydon BID's Street Live! programme of events for 2015-2016, the Urban Arts Experience Bus will be in town on Wednesday and Thursday, September 2nd and 3rd, bringing with it the opportunity for youngsters to try their hand at producing and recording music and DJ’ing using eight work stations equipped with Apple Macs and the latest media software ,keyboards, DJ equipment, speakers, plasma screens and has a roof terrace for performances.
For those with a passion for fancy footwork, street dance classes are also planned on both days, giving budding hoofers the opportunity to develop a series of routines which they will be able to showcase later on the day.
The Urban Arts Experience is a social enterprise organisation that aims to inspire and empower young people by building their confidence through all art forms including music production, positive rap, vocal recording which essentially allows them to see their potential, which feeds into generic life skills and opens up more opportunities.

Matthew Sims, Croydon BID chief executive added: "This is a special two day event which provides yet another way for our children to express themselves through music and dance. With a full programme of events throughout both days, North End will be transformed into a hub of music and dance."
Croydon BID and the London Urban Arts Experience are urging 11-18 year olds to get involved in the programme of events and workshops which run on Wednesday 2nd and - Thursday 3rd September between10.00am - 5.00pm in North End, Croydon.
