Newsflash: Check Out Croydon launches

  • Check Out Croydon Loyalty card
Savvy shoppers now have even more reason to visit the Town Centre, following the official launch of the Check Out Croydon loyalty scheme, pioneered by the Croydon Business Improvement District (BID).

Designed to boost local trade by rewarding loyal customers, the Check Out Croydon loyalty card provides access to wide ranging offers from some of Croydon’s best known businesses, including discounts of up to 20% off some purchases.

Forty-five Town Centre businesses are already signed up to the scheme (see appendix for details) and many more are expected to join as the scheme’s momentum increases over the coming months.

Check Out Croydon cards can be obtained directly from Croydon BID - simply visit www.croydonbid.com or call 020 8603 0050 – as well as the Croydon Visitor Centre by East Croydon Station. Alternatively they can be collected from any of the participating companies, many of whom will be displaying distinctive Check Out Croydon window stickers or promotional material for ease of identification.

Once they have activated their card on-line, card holders will be kept abreast of all the latest offers and discounts available through a series of regular updates published by Croydon BID on-line, via email and Twitter.

“We are thrilled to be launching this initiative in Croydon at this time,” said Croydon BID chief executive Matthew Sims.

“There are some really fantastic offers available to reward customers for their loyalty, providing a great incentive for people to come into town, support the local economy and try something new.”

“So far, the reaction received from both businesses and the public has been great.  Within just ten days of pre-registrations for the card being announced, nearly 500 people had already applied,” Mr Sims added.

“It’s a great indication of the importance that businesses and consumers place on rewarding loyalty and an encouraging sign of how well the scheme is likely to be received.”

A series of dedicated launch events is now being planned by Croydon BID in the run-up to Christmas, at which people will be invited to register for the scheme. To find out how you can get involved, visit www.croydonbid.com or follow us on Twitter @CroydonBID.
