Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield revitalises Allders with exciting new shops and dining in Croydon

Opening from 26th September, the precinct will introduce a mix of global and local brands, alongside community initiatives and new job opportunities for Croydon.

Allders Parade, fronting North End Road, brings together a curated mix of global and local brands, revitalising the historic Allders building while adding a new retail and dining experience to Croydon town centre.

The first retailers to open on 26th September are MINISO, a global lifestyle store offering toys, tech, stationery, accessories, homeware, food, fitness, and beauty products, and Sky, a national digital media provider.

From early October, the precinct will welcome Abaci, a women’s clothing brand, and Isle of Flowers, a London-based florist, followed by Coco & Nut, a much-loved independent café, and Meltin’ Moments, an ice cream shop that was part of the original Allders department store.

The launch of Allders Parade is a fundamental step in our journey to re-vitalise and transform Croydon town centre. We’re delighted to welcome the various retailers to Allders this Autumn, and proud to inject life back into one of the town’s most cherished landmarks. This is just the start of delivering on our vision for the town centre, as we look to create a more sustainable, connected and community-focused future for Croydon.

Alongside the new retail offerings, Allders Parade is already creating opportunities for the local community. Earlier this summer, URW launched its Retail Skills Academy in Croydon – a three-day training programme delivering accredited customer service skills, employability support, and real interview experience with retailers. Delivered in partnership with Ethos Farm, Croydon Works, and Croydon Council, the July 2025 programme saw 12 local residents complete the training, with five securing roles at Miniso, one of the first retailers to open at Allders Parade.

URW is also supporting the local community through The Croydon Community Grant Fund, operated in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA). In 2025, the Fund distributed £14,500 to 18 local organisations, selected from a record 70 applications – an 11% increase on 2024. Recipients include community gardens, carers’ cafés, youth sports programmes, and cultural projects, demonstrating meaningful local impact alongside URW’s wider investment in the town centre.

The launch of Allders Parade represents a key milestone in URW’s plans for the wider transformation of Croydon town centre. This includes the redevelopment of the Whitgift Centre into a modern urban hub with high-quality homes, green public spaces, and improved connectivity; the refurbishment of Centrale to create a contemporary retail and leisure destination; and the long-term reimagining of the Allders building.
