Designed to support recruitment needs, the fair will give employers access to local unemployed residents who have successfully completed accredited customer service training through the Retail Skills Academy.
The session will feature speed-interviews – a mix of real and mock interviews – to help identify candidates for current or future job vacancies.
The Retail Recruitment Fair will take place at The Wellness Centre (Unit 1040/42) on the first floor of Whitgift Shopping Centre, opposite Waterstones.
Employers can attend between 9:30am and 1pm, selecting a convenient time slot to conduct short interviews of up to 10 minutes per candidate and provide feedback.
The programme aims to:
- Help local businesses fill vacancies with trained, local people
- Support residents into employment through skills and training
- Boost interest in retail and hospitality careers, addressing the customer service skills gap
All candidates will have been screened and supported by Croydon Works, Croydon Council’s jobs brokerage team.
