Practical Guidance on Communicating with a Face Covering

Since face coverings have been made obligatory inside shops, shopping centres, takeaways and public transport hubs, there have arisen considerations to make and new challenges to navigate. The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure has produced this useful printable guide on the impact of wearing a face covering (or face mask), to ensure communications are clear and understood and to maintain the ability to identify suspicious activity.

Applications for (Extended) Discretionary Grants for Croydon Businesses

Croydon Council has announced that it will make the new Discretionary Grants (launched in May) available on application from businesses affected by Covid-19, even if the rateable value is above £51,000. Shop Local Campaign

The UK Government has launched ‘Shop Local Week’ as part of the #EnjoySummerSafely umbrella campaign, which is running all summer. Public Health England Legionella Advice

Dormant water systems have a higher risk of Legionella bacteria, which can cause Legionella disease (10% of cases are fatal). As many businesses reopen, it is essential that they review the water system management. This is especially important for: gyms, sports clubs, hairdressers, dental practices, hotels and office buildings (esp. with shower facilities).
