Crown & Pepper serve up kindness in partnership with Croydon Nightwatch

Crown & Pepper, an independent pub and restaurant in Croydon, showcased the power of community spirit on December 2nd by partnering with local charity Croydon Nightwatch to deliver meals to those experiencing homelessness within Croydon town centre.
This heartfelt initiative saw Crown & Pepper serve up some of their signature dishes, including chicken biryani, vegetable chow mien, and dal makhani with rice. More than just meals, these dishes offered a moment of comfort to those facing the winter’s challenges.

Croydon Nightwatch, a non-profit organisation, has been a cornerstone of support for those in need in the borough for over 40 years. Every evening at 9:30pm, its dedicated volunteers meet at Queen’s Gardens provide essentials like food, clothing, and toiletries, while also connecting individuals to vital services such as temporary accommodation and health support.

The partnership between Crown & Pepper and Croydon Nightwatch underscores the importance of community-driven initiatives and highlights how local businesses can make a tangible impact in their neighbourhoods.
