There is no job too small for Augustine and Ilido, who have worked for the BID in the town for more than eight years. The pair, who are always smiling, are a popular and welcome sight to businesses as they go about their cleaning duties, bringing much needed shine to our streets.
In 2022 a whopping 29,000 square metres of town centre pavements were jet washed, removing unwanted grime and chewing gum from our streets.
In addition to this, the team jet washed 1,515 pieces of street furniture, removed 1,214 pieces of graffiti/fly posters, cleared 453 grot spots, and washed 506 pieces of signage.
In 2023, the Croydon BID street cleansing team will continue to target priority areas throughout the town centre, while also responding directly to levy payer requests.
