Each year, Croydon BID aims to create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and shoppers – a key factor in supporting the town centre and local high streets during the busy Christmas period.
This year, that investment delivers 71 decorations and lighting motifs across the town centre, illuminating 10 streets including Surrey Street, High Street, North End, Katharine Street, Church Street, Lansdowne Road, and more.
In total, the scheme features up to 110,000 LED lights, including approximately 1,500m of tree lights, bringing holiday cheer to all who live, work, and visit Croydon town centre.
In addition to the street lighting, North End features a range of festive installations, including:
- The town centre Christmas tree
- Two interactive “selfie installations” for capturing holiday memories
- Christmas lighting gobos projecting seasonal motifs onto buildings and streets
To further enhance the town centre, new colourful and vibrant signage has been installed along the main shopping streets, spreading seasonal messages and highlighting Croydon BID’s role in delivering the lights.
By representing the business community, Croydon BID hopes these displays encourage visitors to explore the town centre, enjoy the seasonal atmosphere, and support local businesses.
