The first signs of change will be seen outside Allianz and along Dingwall Road, where barrier baskets and low-level planters are being filled with summer flowers.
Further into the town centre, large planting beds along George Street and Wellesley Road will be brought to life with vibrant displays that aim to improve the route for commuters, visitors and workers.
New planting will also appear at key locations including West Croydon, the High Street, North End, and additional points along Wellesley Road.
A standout feature of this year’s programme is the return of 137 traditional hanging baskets. Each basket will be packed with a mix of summer-flowering plants that will stay in bloom from May through to September.
In addition to this, all greening sites that are managed by Croydon BID will also feature brand-new signage to mark the upgrade.
Whether you’re walking to work, heading to the shops, or just passing through, keep an eye out as the town centre comes into bloom for summer.
