Croydonites festival makes its return to Croydon

Croydonites Festival is back from 2-18 November with its most ambitious programme yet.
Featuring a host of local and national artists including Lucy McCormick, Oona Doherty, SLiDE, Abandoman and Simon Manyonda.

Over three weeks Croydonites will showcase 11 local artists including 4 new commissions.

The festival’s mission is to showcase local artists and bring high quality performance work to Croydon. It also works with aspiring writers in its CroydonWrites programme, where participants get a crash course in writing about performance with expert guidance by two experienced journalists Francesca Peschier (The Stage, Exeunt) and Sanjoy Roy (The Guardian, Springback Magazine).

There are also opportunities for the public to get involved with the Croytopia project – locals are invited to recount memories to camera, prompted by specific locations in Croydon. The results will be exhibited at Turf Projects from 4-18 November. Read more about it here: whats-on/croytopia
