Croydon’s newly named giant The Elf on the Shelf® arrives at BOXPARK for the festive countdown

BOXPARK Croydon is hosting a 15-foot The Elf on the Shelf® from 1–24 December, bringing festive cheer to Croydon town centre.

Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) and BOXPARK Croydon have welcomed this year’s festive attraction, a 15-foot The Elf on the Shelf®, who has been officially named Elfonzo following an enthusiastic response to the naming competition.

The winning name was submitted by a local resident, who will receive £100 in BOXPARK vouchers and a free family gaming session at PLAYBOX.

Dressed in traditional red and holding a ticket from the North Pole to Croydon, Elfonzo will be on display at BOXPARK Croydon until 24th December, spreading festive cheer to families, shoppers, and visitors. Standing at 15 feet tall, the Scout Elf® provides the perfect backdrop for seasonal photos and festive activities.

In addition to visiting Elfonzo, families are invited to join the fun with BOXPARK’s mini The Elf on the Shelf® adventure, taking place daily throughout December. Each day, a mischievous mini Scout Elf® will appear in a new spot around the venue – from mixing up mocktails at the bar to playing games in PLAYBOX, or joining the festive fun among the food traders. Families can hunt down the elf, snap a selfie, and show their photo at the bar to receive a special festive treat to take home.

We’re thrilled to welcome Elfonzo, our 15-foot Elf on the Shelf®, to Croydon this Christmas! Named through our competition with BOXPARK Croydon, Elfonzo is all about festive fun and community spirit. Come meet him, snap a selfie, and enjoy the season. With the Croydon BID Christmas lights turning on for the 18th year, the town-wide Giving Tree Appeal, festive guides, competitions, and a host of local events, we encourage everyone to celebrate locally this Christmas!
