Anyone who has ever tried riding a mountain bike or attempted a BMX wheelie is sure to be enthralled by the fearless ‘3Sixty’ Stunt Bike team who are coming to town as part of Croydon Business Improvement District’s annual Street LIVE! entertainment programme.
The team’s performances incorporate a mixture of static balancing skills and gravity-defying leaps and bounds, as the riders effortlessly show off skills they have honed after hours of dedicated practice, while at the same time providing a running commentary through their helmet microphones. Performances will last approximately 20 minutes and are scheduled to take place at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
The high-octane entertainment is being laid on by Croydon BID as a precursor to this year’s Pearl Izumi Tour Series, the professional cycle race which will be making a return visit to Croydon on Tuesday, June 7th, as the only London leg of the team-based town-and-city-centre cycle series.
“What better way to highlight the return of this major sporting event to Croydon than to bring this fabulous team of stunt bike riders to town to show off the cycling skills that many of us can only aspire to,” said Croydon BID head of operations, Shaun Webster.
“Croydon BID is pleased to be part-sponsoring the Croydon leg of this year’s Pearl Izumi Tour series and we hope that, as well as whetting people’s appetites for the professional races yet to come, Saturday’s high-energy performances by the 3Sixty team will both inspire and entertain.”
