CVA aims to promote philanthropic causes that help the Croydon community and nearby areas. CVA fulfils its leadership function by encouraging VCOs to play a larger part in borough life and by assisting local residents in representing and negotiating on behalf of their community.

CVA is the primary local umbrella infrastructure body supporting all Croydon communities, providing a diverse range of services to small groups, social entrepreneurs, larger charities, and volunteers at all stages of growth.
