WGLA was founded on his belief that the Legacy of the Windrush Generation needed to encourage, stimulate, and actively promote the contributions of more than three Caribbean generations to British society. WGLA’s mission is in keeping with the government’s commemorative initiative entitled ‘Windrush Day’ now celebrated on 22 June each year and for the 1st time in 2018.
