Free counter-terrorism training for Croydon town centre businesses

As part of Croydon BID’s ongoing efforts to support local businesses and enhance the safety of our town centre, we’re excited to share an opportunity to improve counter-terrorism preparedness through free training sessions.
Croydon’s dedicated Counter Terrorism (CT) Protect Officer has also provided valuable resources to help businesses, their staff, and the wider community stay vigilant and prepared in the event of a security threat.

Key Counter-Terrorism Training Opportunities

The Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) and See, Check, and Notify (SCaN) awareness programs are available free of charge to businesses in Croydon. These sessions are designed to help staff recognise suspicious behaviour and respond effectively to potential threats.

These tailored training sessions are a fantastic way to equip your staff with the skills and knowledge needed to act confidently in critical situations.

  • Protect Summer Campaign Digital Toolkit: With major summer events like music festivals and Pride, partners are working to keep the public safe. You can support by sharing key campaign messages with your staff and visitors and encouraging them to take the free ACT Awareness e-learning. Download the toolkit and help spread the word.
