Businesses Invited to Support a New Employability Programme

Croydon Commitment* has been successful in winning funding from the John Lewis Foundation to lead a two-year Employability Programme, called Ways2Work, and is inviting any businesses based locally to support the programme by volunteering their expertise and knowledge.
The theme of the Employability Programme is ‘Let’s get Croydon working’ and, whether a business is a sole trader, SME or large corporate organisation, there is an opportunity to be part of the success of this programme which will give Croydon residents a better chance of upskilling or finding work.
To achieve the best results from the Ways2Work Programme, Croydon Commitment is reaching out to businesses and employers of all sizes to get involved and support the successful delivery of it. There is no cost involved and business volunteers can engage in the programme as little or as much as they wish.
Some of the ways in which business can support the programme will be volunteering for activities such as mock interviews, career talks, cv support, employability workshops, work and industry placements or meet the employers.
The successful outcome in increasing employability and opportunities in Croydon will benefit the local economy as a whole and it is hoped many businesses will support this new programme. For more information, please click on the link below, or email
