Cllr Tony Newman, leader of Croydon Council, Steve Yewman, Development Director for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Jo Negrini, CEO of Croydon Council, and Neil Chandler, Venue Director for the Fairfield Halls, will all be speaking at Croydon - Moving in the right direction, on 28th November 2018, at the Hampton by Hilton.
Despite high streets and town centres across the UK experiencing difficult trading conditions, confidence and optimism is growing across the town, with new developments found at every corner.
Cllr Newman will set out the local authority’s vision for growth, the opportunities and challenges ahead and his aspirations for Croydon’s future. Yewman will offer insight and the latest updates into the redevelopment of the Whitgift Centre.
Negrini will tell the assembled guests how the local authority plan to provide support for all businesses across the town from regeneration to completion. While Chandler will talk about the challenges and rewards of delivering a truly world-class cultural offering for Croydon.
To close, Croydon BID will provide an update on their approach, direction and how they aim to continue supporting the town’s businesses as part of their Annual General Meeting.
Matthew Sims, Chief Executive of Croydon BID said: “The trading environment we are all operating in is challenging but Croydon has a clear vision with opportunities in the long-term that will, we hope, outweigh the short-term difficulties.
“We welcome all of our members to join us for what will be an incredibly insightful event where you will have the chance to pose your questions, thoughts and concerns for the future to those that are leading on delivering for Croydon.”
Refreshments will be provided for all attendees plus an opportunity to meet many of the BID's partners and stakeholders.
