This dynamic hour of live entertainment from The BRIT School formed part of the Street Live summer series of events. The BRIT School has been working closely with Croydon BID and Croydon Council in delivering these events.
The BRIT school students embraced the opportunity to showcase their incredible choreography and dance moves in a sequence of surprise five minute performances at various locations across North End.
The school’s Assistant Principal for the Performing Arts, Ray Oudkerk, was particularly proud of the contribution The BRIT School is making on the positive energy in Croydon.
“We are very proud to call Croydon our home as are our students. The flash mob dance performances brought real energy, movement and creativity for everyone to enjoy."
"There is always such a great atmosphere when our students perform and yesterday was no different. People go about their shopping and then in a moment, the street is alive, crowds gather and it turns into a real party atmosphere."
"We look forward to bringing more of The BRIT School's creativity to Croydon town centre. There's so much we can achieve by working together, to enrich the life of Croydon, through the power of young people’s talent.”
Croydon BID’s chief executive, Matthew Sims, said: “We have such an incredible depth of talent in this borough. The performances from The BRIT School dance students leave a huge smile on all those watching. We certainly want to see more of it and will be working with The BRIT School in the hope of delivering even more surprises.”
Street Live is a programme of events created and delivered by Croydon BID and Croydon Council and will continue throughout the summer up until the end of September 2019.
