A new leisure concept is coming to Croydon this month – as baseball-themed bar Sluggers opens at Boxpark on 23 July.
Sluggers, based at unit 64, collides baseball with the minimalist, neon cool of Japan, the mojito sipping swagger of Cuba and the heat and passion of Mexico to make an experience bar like no other.
With craft cocktails and Latin American fusion street food including Cuban Sandwiches, Pulled Pork Sliders and Arepas, Sluggers is the latest games concept to take competitive socialising to the next level at Boxpark – following Bad Axe Throwing earlier in the summer.
The new site will boast three brand new batting cages for visitors to enjoy.
Matthew Sims, Chief Executive of Croydon BID, said: “The addition of Sluggers to Croydon further enhances our town centre appeal and our aspiration to introduce and develop a diverse offer for all those who live, work and visit Croydon.”
Improving on safety and the perceived level of crime are matters that cannot be addressed overnight nor by any one single organisation. A concerted, collective response is what is needed to help resolve these issues and to create an environment in which people and businesses feel safe and happy to invest. Working with partners, we have and will continue to put safety first. Building upon strong relationships that already exist within our community, we are committed to developing strategies and initiatives that focus the necessary resources on deterring and tackling crime, providing reassurance to the public and giving businesses the tools and support they need to thrive.
