As promised, we're sharing the weekly crime stats, to highlight the effectiveness of the additional police hours.
These are the figures for w/c 19th August 2019

Wednesday 21st August

Two officers worked between 10:00 – 16:00 hrs (6 hours each)

Shops visited and staff engaged with (19): Next, Zara, Boots Centrale, The Body Shop, Trespass, Ernest Jones, M&S, Toy Barnhaus, Manna, House of Fraser, Lidl, Debenhams, New Look, Boots Whitgift, Monsoon, Superdrug Whitgift, Superdry, JD Sports & Primark

There was also one (intelligence-led) stop & search.

Thursday 22nd August

Two officers worked between 14:00 – 20:00 hrs (6 hours each)

Shops visited and staff engaged with (13): Pret A Manger, M&S, Spreadeagle, Poundland North End, Ann Summers, Bargain Buys, Holiday Inn, Crisis, Holland & Barrett, H&M, McDonalds North End, Accessorize & Monsoon

Friday 23rd August

Two officers worked between 14:00 – 00:00 hrs (10 hours each)

Shops visited and staff engaged with (16): Primark, Debenhams, Sports Direct, Superdrug Centrale, Party Superstore, House of Fraser, Boots Centrale, Body Shop Centrale, Lyons Jewellers, M&S, New Look, River Island, Claire's Accessories, Monsoon and Accessorize & Body Shop Whitgift

Officers detained a male who was swearing at officers in North End. This male was issued with a Penalty Notice for Disorder (£90 fine) for Section 5 Public Order Act (shouting & swearing).
