Vista 24, a joint development by Telereal Trillium and Bellway, involves building 181 new homes across two towers of nine storeys and 24 storeys on Dingwall Road, plus a flexible commercial space on the ground, first and second floors which could include a new restaurant, café or bar.
The homes will be made up of 86 one-bed apartments, 81 two-bed apartments and 14 three-bed apartments.
Emma Hamlett, sales director for Bellway London, said: “We’re regenerating a brownfield site and creating something very special at Vista 24.
“We’re confident that the apartments we’re building are just what people need and are looking for in this part of London.
“They’re central and just a five-minute walk from East Croydon railway station, from where it’s 15 minutes to London Bridge and just 16 minutes into London Victoria.
“These apartments will be ideal for professionals commuting into Central London, for first-time buyers and investors.”
While the development is car-free, it will have eight disabled car parking spaces, as well as a secure cycle storage unit.
There are also plans to create private and communal outdoor spaces as part of the scheme, including a courtyard and rooftop gardens.
Duncan Brisbane, development director at Telereal Trillium, said: “We feel that this development will be a fantastic addition to Croydon offering homes for new and existing residents, and new facilities for the existing community.”
