The 250 submissions received cover a wide range of ideas and styles which will be instrumental in helping to create an inspiring art trail that brings vibrancy and colour to our streets.
The process of shortlisting the entries is well underway, with a panel of industry experts carefully picking 60 shortlisted designs, which will be narrowed down to 30 upon the completion of an exclusive sponsor matching event in April.
Sponsors will be invited to select their favourite artworks, with the hope of choosing designs that truly captures a wealth of artistic talent.
The final designs will be applied to 30 8ft tall giraffe sculptures which will form a public art trail across Croydon’s town centre from 21st August to 27th October.
Croydon Stands Tall is delivered by Croydon BID in collaboration with Wild in Art as part of the London Borough of Culture 2023.
