Pizza Pilgrims to launch East Croydon pizzeria next year

Growing pizza restaurant brand, Pizza Pilgrims, has revealed that it will open a new pizzeria in East Croydon early next year.
The brand, which now operates more than 20 sites across the UK, will bring its signature style of Neapolitan pizza to Croydon when it launches in February.

With sites across London and the rest of the UK, Pizza Pilgrims founders James and Thom Elliot celebrated 10 years in the pizza game this summer.

Having opened in Queen’s Park earlier this year, the brothers will open their first site in Leeds in November ahead of the East Croydon launch.

The founders of the group first began serving customers at London’s famed Berwick Street Market, before opening the first permanent Pizza Pilgrims pizzeria launched in Soho in 2013.

In 2023, James and Thom paid their second pilgrimage to Naples in Italy in the ‘Pizza Vespa’.

During the 10-day trip, they visited icons of the Neapolitan pizza scene, as well as suppliers and friends they have made over the last 10 years.

More details about the opening date for the new pizzeria will be announced early next year.
