The Dog reopens with new ownership

Croydon’s oldest pub has reopened its doors with a fresh new look on Surrey Street.
Formerly known as The Dog & Bull, The Dog celebrated its opening with an official launch party on Friday 16th May, featuring a live DJ set from Voices Radio.

The pub reopens under the ownership of Laine, operators of over 50 unique, independently run pubs across Brighton, London and Birmingham. A selection of beers from Laine’s sister company, Laine Brew Co, is available behind The Dog’s bar.

The Dog’s standout feature remains its unbeatable beer garden, now known as The Wilderness. The space is fit with bookable booths, heated for year-round use, a dedicated smaller bar, and screens for catching all the best live sport action. The Wilderness also welcomes DJ sets every Friday and Saturday until 10pm, powered by Voices Radio. More sport viewing areas can be booked in the pub’s cosy inside space.

To mark the pub’s official launch weekend, Croydon BID launched an Instagram giveaway in collaboration with The Dog, awarding one lucky winner a £100 bar tab to spend through the PUBBL app. PUBBL gives customers the chance to collect points and rewards on drinks, and order directly to their table for a seamless pub experience.

The Dog is open from 12pm – 11pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm – 12am on Friday and Saturday, and 12pm – 11pm on Sundays. For all future updates, please visit: https://www.thedog.pub/.
