The refurbishment of the Spread Eagle Croydon seals the handover of the Fullers-owned pub to Whelan’s, an Irish-themed pub chain, who has announced plans for live music, and a reopening of the pub’s upstairs theatre.

New opening times are from 11 am until midnight from Monday to Saturday, and 11 am to 10.30 pm on Sundays.

From lively, Irish Traditional pubs in prime town centre locations, Whelan’s offers premium suburban food-led venues, with a warm and hearty welcome to all.

Located in London and the south, each of the spacious pubs has a unique interior, designed, and finished with an eclectic mix of décor and furnishings, with snugs, seating, outdoor areas and staging providing the perfect backdrop.
