Lit Nights – with Nussaibah Younis

Braithwaite Hall, 9 Katharine Street
Croydon, CR0 1NX United Kingdom

Back to What's On

Join EastCroydonCool for the next edition of Lit Nights, a modern-day take on the traditional literary salon – a little more fun and rooted in community.

This special evening features Nussaibah Younis, whose debut novel Fundamentally has just been shortlisted for the Women’s Prize. This bitingly original, wildly funny and razor-sharp exploration of love, family, religion and the decisions we make in pursuit of belonging has been described as “Bridget Jones in Iraq” (The Times) and praised for its fearless storytelling. Nussaibah will be in conversation with award-winning journalist Isabella Silvers.

Enjoy a night of culture, conversation, and cocktails in the historic surrounds of Braithwaite Hall.

Books for book signing are also available for purchase from an on-site Waterstones Croydon stall.

There will also be an opportunity for book signing, with books available for purchase from an on-site Waterstones Croydon stall.
