The National Gallery: Art On Your Doorstep is a UK-wide programme that shares masterpieces from the nation’s collection with communities.
Croydon is one of 12 towns that will be exhibiting reproductions from the Gallery during 2026 and 2027.
Selected with the help of local community groups, 30 paintings will be on display in the town centre at The Queen’s Gardens, Croydon Minster, Whitgift Shopping Centre, as well as in Park Hill Park and Wandle Park. Pieces will also be installed in Coulsdon, New Addington, Purley, Thornton Heath and Upper Norwood.
The ‘Croydon collection’ includes works by Artemisia Gentileschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Stubbs, Turner, Van Eyck, Van Gogh and many more. Each painting will be life-sized, so get up close to discover brilliant brush strokes and hidden details!

*Two paintings will be inside the Whitgift Shopping Centre and only accessible during opening hours.
