Back to What's On

Join Centrale & Whitgift for a FREE drop-in nature experience designed to inspire children and families to grow, nurture, and support local wildlife.

Running daily from 3rd – 4th and 6th – 10th April, Spring into Croydon blends playful storytelling with practical environmental action.

This event is free to attend, no booking needed, just turn up on the day of your choice.

What to Expect

Beneath a playful leafy canopy, visitors will be welcomed into a miniature world where storytelling, creativity and hands-on activities bring nature to life.

Families can meet our special characters Gordon Rams-bee, Ladle-bug and Paul Holly-worm. Together, they are nature-loving kitchen pioneers and soil champions on a mission to show just how much worms, bees and their underground friends do to help plants, trees, herbs, and gardens flourish.

Through storytelling and interactive moments families will discover:

  • The vital role insects and pollinators play in Croydon
  • How biodiversity supports our urban environment
  • Simple things we can all do at home to help wildlife thrive.
