Croydon BID appoints new Chair

Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Bailey, Centre Manager of Centrale Shopping Centre as the new Chair of the Board of Directors.
Jo is a respected business leader with a strong progressive career in estates and retail management. Having grown up and dedicated much of her working career to date to Croydon, Jo is passionate about the future and the success of the town centre.

Jo draws on years of experience having worked previously for Allders, House of Fraser, the Home Office and over the past 18 years with Centrale Shopping Centre.

In her new role as Chair, Jo brings a wealth of experience to help navigate the challenges currently facing the town centre and with the support of the board of directors and executive team, will endeavour to identify and deliver the opportunities for our business community to thrive once more.

Having lived and worked in Croydon my entire life, becoming Chair of the Board of Directors at Croydon BID feels like a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with the BID in delivering growth for the town centre and more for the community and people of Croydon. As new changes approach, it is a great time to support our local businesses and work together to create a town we are all proud of.

The vision, led by Joanne Bailey as Chair of the Board of Directors, is for Croydon to be one of the most vibrant, sustainable, welcoming, and culturally diverse locations in south London in which to do business, work, live and visit.

Joanne Bailey officially takes up her new position as Chair of Croydon BID, having served as the Vice Chair for two years, on Wednesday 31st May 2023, succeeding Darren Hockaday.
