This ambitious initiative needs your help and Croydon BID is asking its business partners to get behind the challenge and help in the following ways:
- Become one of the charities’ Croydon Social Value 20 4 20 Business Champions.
- Encourage your employees to volunteer and help reach the target of 2024 volunteer hours.
- Sign up as a Croydon Social Value 20 4 20 Business Mentor.
- Help raise £20,000 for the CC Community Fund to support local grassroots charities and voluntary organisations.
Programme Manager, Melinda Ashford is proud of the impact of the charity so far.
“Over the ten years I’ve been running the charity, we’ve seen huge challenges for Croydon’s residents and have adapted our focus and activities to direct help where it was most needed. Our employability, education, social inclusion and environmental programmes and activities would not be possible without the incredibly generous volunteers from Croydon’s business community who give their time to make a difference in the community”.
Want to get involved?
If you would like to host an event to support the grassroots CC Community Fund, Croydon Commitment can help with publicity and advice. Or perhaps you would like to help raise aspirations with young people through the Ways2Work Employability Programme, get your colleagues together to do a Community Team Challenge or volunteer to become a business mentor? For an informal chat, without commitment please contact melinda.ashford-mm@mottmac.com or call 07786 438964.
